DESCRIPTION:****DATE CHANGE PENDING***** \n \nNational Night Out Stallion Springs\, tentative deployment \n\nNational Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer\, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore\, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. \n\n\nMillions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states\, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas and select areas celebrate on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties\, festivals\, parades\, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations\, seminars\, youth events\, visits from emergency personnel\, exhibits and much\, much more.

DESCRIPTION:The Stallion Springs 17th Annual Oktoberfest event is coming on Saturday\, October 1\, 2022 and Chief Gary Crowell has requested our SSCERTs to deploy to support this fun-filled event. This event traditionally is SSCERT’s way to give back to our Community by providing our services. Also\, this event will be a First Time Fund-Raiser for SSCERT\, as we will ask for a suggested $5.00 Donation for Parking in the CSD designated lots. We need as many of you as possible to volunteer so there are enough CERTs during the first part of the event\, that you can leave to enjoy the remainder of the event with family and friends\, while the second shift of CERTs arrives to take over until the event closes. DESCRIPTION:Please join us at this “Fire Safety Meeting” provided by the Kern Fire Safe Council\, backed by KC Fire Department. The Fire Safe Council is composed of volunteers who have worked in the Fire Safety/Fire Prevention fields and will present important information regarding Fire Prevention for our Stallion Springs and surrounding Tehachapi Communities\, some of which you may have never heard before! Vanessa Stevens\, our CSD’s GM\, posted in SSNW Facebook\, “Join us for an informative morning and free donuts and coffee!! Learn how to be fire safe and what to have ready in an emergency!!”\n\nThe Kern Fire Safe Council gave an excellent\, abbreviated presentation in Stallion Springs previously on April 30\, during the Fire Prevention Fair conducted at the Golden Hills CSD. Mr. Wreath\, the presenter\, promised to return soon. The result is the presentation planned for this Saturday\, June 25\, at 10 AM.\n\nThe presentation lasts about one hour\, with a Q & A session to follow! This meeting is highly recommended by our KC Fire Dept. and members of our own Stallion Springs Fire Station #18 will be in attendance and also will answer our questions!

DESCRIPTION:California has experienced an unprecedented number of catastrophic wildfires\, with last year’s record wildfires illustrating the nature and extent of fire risk threat we are facing. SCE remains dedicated to keeping our communities safe by making our infrastructure more resilient against the increasing threat of extreme conditions driven by climate change. \nSCE also implements Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) as a measure of last resort to reduce the threat of wildfires. During the last wildfire season\, we know that PSPS had a significant impact to our communities with some customers experiencing multiple PSPS outages. We are committed to reducing the use and impact of PSPS to our customers. \nTo inform our communities about our wildfire safety efforts and the actions we are taking to reduce the impact of PSPS\, we would like to invite you to a community live stream meeting for Kern County communities.
