DESCRIPTION:SSCERT Basic Course 2022 \n8 – 8:30am  Check In\n8:30 – 12pm  Unit 4 – Medical Ops 2 \n12 – 1pm  Lunch\n1 – 4:30pm  Unit 9 – Final \n  \nSSCERT educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact our area and trains them in basic disaster response skills\, such as fire safety\, light search and rescue\, team organization\, and disaster medical operations. \nWe are sponsored by the Stallion Springs Police Department to provide the following services to our community: • Teach emergency preparedness• Help our families and neighbors in times of need• Assist the Police Department in a non-law enforcement capacity• Assist other professional emergency responders• Support community events \nHow to become CERT-trained – Attend one of our 23-hour Basic Training Classes. Classes are held in Stallion Springs. \nWhat does the training comprise? \n• Personal emergency preparedness• Fire safety and fire suppression• Medical operations• Light search and rescue• Disaster psychology• Terrorism awareness and recognition
