Monthly SSCERT general meeting

Please join us for the SSCERT General Meeting on May 3, 2023 at 1830 HRS (6:30pm).  We are meeting in the CSD’s Board Rm/EOC, 27800 Stallion Springs Drive.

NOTE: Prior to our General Monthly Meeting, we will start our monthly Radio Net Call Up Exercise at 6:00 PM. Make sure your radio batteries are charged.

If you have not joined the Team yet, do not worry about the Radio Exercises. Once you become a SSCERT, you will be included in the Monthly Radio Net Call Up. If you already have an FRS Radio, use CH 6.0 for this exercise as described below.

Radio Exercise #1 – 6:00 PM – Set all Radios to FRS CHANNEL “6.” When Stallion Control announces your Call Sign, please answer clearly with your Call Sign first, and whether you are hearing Stallion Control clearly or not. No need to be on site – answer from your homes or wherever you may be. However, if you don’t have line-of-sight in direction of Net Control, you may not hear Net Control, and they may not hear you!

NOTE: If you don’t hear your Call Sign announced, or if you tuned in late, wait until the end of the Exercise, then say, “Stallion Control, this is Stallion # ____, do you Copy?” Stallion Control should reply if they hear you, and will note your Reply.

Radio Exercise #2 – 6:10 PM Time Approx – Those of you who have the BaoFeng (Yellow) radios, change to CHANNEL “SS RPTR.” When Stallion Control announces your Call Sign, please answer clearly with your Call Sign first, and whether you are hearing Stallion Control clearly or not.
